Happy Holidays from CUPE Local 1770!
We want to wish all our members and their families a safe & relaxing holiday season filled with cheer!
Here are a few reminders:
– The final day of work before Christmas break for the 10-month employees is Monday December 22, 2025.
– The first day back to work after the Christmas break for the 10-month employees is Monday January 5, 2026.
– As per our collective agreement the following days are observed as holidays off without loss of pay; Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day. More information on holidays can be found in Article 27 in the collective agreement.
This year the local is able to spread some Christmas cheer with a donation of $500.00 to Santa’s Angels.
Every Christmas morning, Santa’s Angels visits hundreds of homes across Prince Edward Island bringing food, toys, and gifts to families who need a little extra joy.
Each package is customized based on the interests of families, all made possible by amazing volunteers and community supporters.
Santa’s Angels is:
– 100% Volunteer-Operated
– 100% of donations go to island families
